Underwriting Assistant-Life Insurance

What You'll Do:

As a key member of the underwriting team, you'll be the first point of contact for new life insurance applications, managing an average of 80 to 160 cases per month. Your primary goal will be to ensure all applications are complete and in "good order" before they reach the underwriting stage.

Case Management: Verify all documents and information are complete and meet requirements.

Problem-Solving: Resolve issues with new business processing, payments, and vendor relations.

Communication: Act as a liaison with financial advisors, brokers, and internal partners, providing guidance on processes and addressing outstanding items.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes and leverage technology (like Excel or CRM software) to boost efficiency.

Who We're Looking For:

2-3 years of business processing or similar experience.

A highly organized and driven individual with strong problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Familiarity with business practices.

Experience with process improvement or technology is a big plus.
