Role Overview
We are hiring a Federal Marketing Intern with a clear path to full-time employment based on performance. This role is designed to build hands-on experience in federal marketing, business development, and proposal support, directly contributing to Synapse’s growth across federal contract vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Content
- Assist in creating capability statements, presentations, and marketing collateral
- Support LinkedIn posts, branding initiatives, and outreach campaigns
- Draft client-facing emails, summaries, and internal communications
- Identify opportunities via SAM.gov
- Track expiring contracts, agency forecasts, and set-aside opportunities
- Maintain pipeline trackers and BD dashboards
- Coordinate with internal teams
- Research target agencies
- Compile reports on federal trends, budgets, and upcoming opportunities
- Direct mentorship from leadership and BD teams
- Opportunity to transition into Federal Marketing Associate / BD Analyst
- Interact and present capabilities to the decision makers
- An outgoing, proactive individual who is comfortable interacting with clients and stakeholders
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment (not a behind-the-desk role)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional presence
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-driven
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s (or pursuing) in Marketing, Business, Communications, or IT-related field
- Strong interest in federal contracting / government consulting
- Good skills in PowerPoint, Excel, and writing
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
