Human Resources Intern

Allient Inc. currently has an internship opportunity with our Human Resources function in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This internship provides exposure to select Human Resources functions, including HR operations, employee records management, compliance, benefits, training and development, employee programs, workplace safety, and HR research and analytics. The Human Resources Intern will assist with day‑to‑day HR activities and participate in projects that support organizational initiatives while gaining practical, hands‑on HR experience. Based on the intern’s interests and academic requirements, Human Resources is open to collaborating on projects or focus areas beyond those listed, which may include talent acquisition support, employee relations, introductory labor relations exposure, compensation support, and other Human Resources initiatives.

SNC Manufacturing Co., Inc., now operating as Allient Oshkosh, specializes in the design and production of custom electrical transformers and related components for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and industrial applications. Founded in 1946 and headquartered in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, SNC was privately owned prior to its acquisition by Allient Inc. in 2024 and is now part of a publicly traded organization. Key Responsibilities

  • Support day‑to‑day HR operations and administrative activities
  • Maintain, organize, and audit employee records and HR documentation
  • Assist with data entry, tracking, and reporting using HR systems and spreadsheets
  • Support compliance activities, including audits, documentation reviews, and recordkeeping
  • Update HR materials such as policies, forms, job descriptions, and training resources
  • Assist with HR‑related projects and initiatives under supervision
  • Conduct HR‑related research and summarize key findings to support HR initiatives
  • Handle confidential and sensitive employee information with professionalism and discretion

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of Human Resources principles
  • Prior office, administrative, or internship experience preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow established processes while exercising sound judgment
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion
