Arts Marketing Intern

2026 Arts Internship positions will be open to currently enrolled undergraduate (2 or 4-year) and community college students who reside or attend college in Los Angeles County. Recent graduates may apply as long as they have completed their degree between May 1 - December 1, 2026. The Department of Arts and Culture encourages eligible students from all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as disabled students, to apply. Eligible students may participate in the program only once.

Note:

  • Students who have already earned a BA, BS, or a higher degree are not eligible for the Los Angeles County Arts Internship Program.
  • Students who have previously participated in the program are not eligible to participate a second time.
  • Students must posses the legal right to work in the United States.
  • Students who are invited to participate in the program will be asked to provide verification of eligibility via college transcripts, driver’s license, and other documents to show enrollment status and/or LA County residence.

NOTE: interns will be able to work from June 1, 2026 - March 1, 2027 depending on the needs of the organization. All interns are applying directly to the organizations, who set their own start & end dates, hours worked per week as well as on-site versus remote work parameters. Prospective interns are strongly encouraged to inquire about these details with the organization during the interview process.

 

Grand Vision is an arts non-profit located in San Pedro’s downtown Arts District. We present live music and theater at the 150-seat Grand Annex Music Hall; offer music education programs for youth and adults; and provide marketing support for the historic Warner Grand Theatre.

Through the LA County Arts Internship Program, we are seeking an undergraduate student for a paid $18.47/hr, 400 hour MARKETING & PUBLICITY intern position. The internship is designed as a 20hr/week position starting as early as July 8, 2026 and continuing into December as hours permit. Hours take place on site, primarily during the day. Applicants must attend school in L.A. County or have a permanent address in L.A. County. (Students who graduate in spring 2026 are eligible.)

THE PROJECT: The intern will work closely with staff to develop and create written and digital materials to promote Grand Vision’s 2026-27 calendar of concerts and events at the Grand Annex Music Hall and throughout the community. Secondary projects include event and office support, ticket sales, phone coverage and data entry.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Has interests in marketing, communication, civic engagement and/or live music event promotion
  • Has a high level of oral and written communication skills
  • Has research and synthesis skills. Enjoys telling and writing a good story
  • Is comfortable using popular social media platforms, including creating and pos ng short videos
  • Is fluent with Microsoft Office programs and Google Drive
  • Is self-motivated, able to ask questions, and to work independently
