Marketing and Media Intern

Lineage Performing Arts Center in Pasadena produces live dance, theater, and music performances, provides arts education, and supports nonprofits through awareness and fundraising across LA County.


The Lineage Marketing and Media Intern will work with Lineage’s administration and programming of dance, theater, and music. The intern must have a passion for the arts, especially the performing arts, and a desire to learn about film editing, graphic design, public speaking, and promoting events held by a midsize nonprofit. Interns will have a chance to film and edit performance footage, interviews, and promotional videos, design graphics and visual content for social media and web, support marketing campaigns through social media, e-blasts, and press outreach, and capture and promote events like Lineage’s Annual Gala and seasonal performances. This position will work approximately 8-24 hours a week from June 2026 through February 2027. A total of 400 hours must be completed. This internship may require you to work evenings and weekends.

 

We prefer candidates who: 

  • are knowledgeable in social media content creation and usage(i.e., trends, reels, posts)
  • are proficient in Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok usage.
  • have strong computer skills, including proficiency in Google Suite and MacBook software. 
  • are familiar and eager to learn graphic design and editing software such as Canva, Wix Studio, and Davinci Resolve. 
  • is an effective communicator, well organized, adaptable, a team player, and enthusiastic.
  • have a passion for the performing arts.

 

This internship is sponsored by the LA County Department of Arts and Culture, which requires interns to complete 400 paid hours between June 2026 and March 2027. The hourly rate is $18.47.
