Grants & Fundraising Intern
Ariventures Abroad | Remote (U.S.-based preferred)
Ariventures Abroad is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on expanding access to global education for underrepresented students. Through scholarships, workshops, and mentorship, we support students pursuing graduate studies abroad and navigating life overseas.
We are looking for a graduate-level intern who can support grants, fundraising, and strategic initiatives. This is not a passive role. You will be expected to think, write clearly, and execute with minimal handholding.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Grants & Fundraising (Primary Focus)
Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with our mission
Draft Letters of Inquiry (LOIs), grant applications, and supporting materials
Track deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements
Support donor outreach and help build a consistent fundraising pipeline
Assist with fundraising campaigns and initiatives that drive real revenue
Board Communications & Outreach (Secondary Focus)
Draft materials for Board updates and donor communications
Support partnership outreach (universities, organizations, sponsors)
Track outreach efforts and follow-ups
Help ensure consistent, clear communication across stakeholders
Project Support
Jump in on high-priority initiatives (workshops, fellowship, partnerships)
Conduct research and support execution of key projects
Help move work forward without needing step-by-step direction
Marketing & Storytelling (Light Support)
Support content tied to fundraising and impact
Help translate program outcomes into clear, compelling messaging
Assist with materials that convert interest into donors or partners
What We Are Looking For
Current graduate student (or recent graduate) in:
Nonprofit Management, Public Policy, International Relations, Communications, or similar
Strong writer who can communicate clearly and directly
Organized and detail-oriented
Able to think ahead and problem-solve without constant direction
Interest in nonprofit work, fundraising, or global education

You have experience with grant writing or fundraising
You can take a vague idea and turn it into something structured
You ask thoughtful questions instead of waiting for instructions
You understand how to communicate impact in a way that drives funding
You have experience with outreach, partnerships, or stakeholder engagement
Program Details
Compensation: $1,000 per semester
Academic Credit: Eligible for class credit (student responsible for coordinating with their institution)
Commitment: Minimum 1-year commitment required
Schedule: 10–15 hours per week (flexible based on academic schedule)
Location: Remote
Travel: Light travel may be required; valid passport is required
Growth Opportunity: High-performing interns may be considered for long-term or paid roles
