Content Production Intern

Content Production Intern

OVERVIEW

Forget the “get the coffee” internship. We aren’t looking for someone who just “likes” social media; we’re looking for a creator. You understand the best content often feels authentic rather than over-produced. You’re the person who knows why a certain sound is trending before it hits the mainstream, and you know exactly how to stop a thumb from scrolling.

As our Content Production Intern, you’ll be on the front lines of production for nationally recognized brands while simultaneously serving as our internal pulse on the digital world. You’ll gain on-the-job production experience supporting our team on video/photography shoots. This is a role for a creative, collaborative and detail-oriented individual who is ready to turn their personal content-creation success into professional agency expertise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pre-Production: Research content trends and audience insights, brainstorm concepts, help plan content calendars.
  • On-Set Production: Support content for social media, digital and broadcast marketing campaigns – including filming/photography – capture behind-the-scenes content.
  • Post-Production: Assist with video/photo editing and help organize and maintain digital media assets and production files.
  • Agency Learning: Act as a trend consultant for our creative teams, sharing your experience with current media landscapes, platforms, production best practices and trends.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You’re a proven creator with a portfolio (professional or personal) that proves you know how to build an audience and tell a story through a lens.
  • You live in the comments, the FYP and the explore page. You don’t just follow trends; you anticipate them.
  • You’re eager to learn, have a great attitude, are curious, adapt quickly and are ready to apply and refine your production skills with a team.
  • You’re an organized pro who can juggle multiple and changing priorities without dropping the ball.
  • You’re a creative perfectionist who catches the small details.
  • You are familiar with Adobe Creative Suite programs (Premiere, AfterEffects, Photoshop, Audition).
  • Basic familiarity with AI tools or emerging AI technologies is a plus.
  • You must have reliable transportation for shoot locations.

KEY PROGRAM DETAILS

  • Compensation: $15/hour
  • Days: In-office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (unless pre-arranged based on production schedule needs)
  • Hours: 22.5 hours/week (8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. unless pre-arranged)

  • Duration: May 26 to August 7 (9 weeks – July 4 week unpaid break)
  • Application deadline: May 4

About Louisville:

Our hometown since 1915 was recently dubbed “the new Austin.” We’re not sure what that means, but we’ll take it as a compliment. We like to think of Louisville as the place where Southern hospitality begins but Midwestern common sense and practicality stick around. It’s a blend of the best of both cultures. And speaking of culture, we’ve long been known for having one of the country’s most dynamic art scenes. Over the past decade, our food scene has caught up, with Louisville becoming recognized as one of the leaders in the farm-to-table movement. Oh, and did we mention bourbon? Mix in with a low cost of living and an ease of getting around. Stir well. Enjoy.

About Doe-Anderson:

Doe-Anderson is the oldest independent advertising agency in the United States and a certified B Corporation. Based in Louisville, Ky., and Columbus, Ohio, the Doe-Anderson team works with iconic brands, offering integrated communication services including brand and digital strategy, creative execution, media buying and planning, analytics, digital design and development, content production and public relations. The agency is a member of AMIN Worldwide – a global peer group of independent agencies – and the American Association of Advertising Agencies.

You know the cliché about a company being “like a family?” Well, sometimes clichés become clichés because they’re true. In the case of Doe-Anderson, you would be joining an organization that’s been nurturing careers (and the people attached to them) for well over a century. We like to think it’s because you can carve your own path here, supported by management and your peers. We try hard to keep corporate politics to a minimum and self-reliance to the max. That may be why almost half our employees are shareholders in the company – and why people tend to stick around nearly three times the ad agency average. There’s something about the place that makes it hard to leave.

Work. People. Love. That’s what we make and how we make it. For our partners. For each other. For the world. And to create this kind of work, we strive to reflect the world we live in and speak to it every day. It requires believing in and celebrating one another as individual members of a diverse and inclusive team.

We will never disqualify a potential team member based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, or veteran or disability status.
