Role Description

As a Video Production Intern at Valo Media, you will play a key role in creating video & photo for Valo Media's BTS Youtube Series. You will assist in all stages of production. This internship role is on-site, based in the Grand Rapids, MI. Day-to-day tasks include supporting production, developing storyboards and shot lists, organizing equipment, ensuring content quality, and reviewing final edits for accuracy and alignment with creative strategies. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual interested in gaining hands-on experience in video production and creative media.

 

Qualifications

  • Actively enrolled in marketing, film or creative related program
  • Can supply a demo reel of past work
  • Basic to intermediate experience with cameras, lighting, and audio equipment
  • Strong Communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members
  • Attention to detail to ensure Quality Control and adherence to creative standards
  • Passion for video production and storytelling
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro)
  • Comfortable assisting on shoots and adapting to fast-paced production environments
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and trends (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) is a plus

 

Schedule

  • 16 hours per week / (2) 8 hours days
  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate production days and project needs
  • June-August

 

Compensation

  • $16/Hour + College Credits
