Marketing Intern – Violin/Cello Rental & Custom Instrument Shop
Sixth Generation Strings is a historic 6th-generation family luthier shop in the Capital Region specializing in violin, viola, and cello rentals, expert repairs, and high-end custom handmade instruments (up to $26k).
We’re looking for a part-time Marketing Intern (8–12 hours/week, flexible around class schedule) to help drive rental growth and promote our custom instruments while transitioning to a hybrid studio model.
You’ll gain hands-on experience with:
- Targeted Facebook/Instagram ads for string parents, teachers, and musicians in the Capital Region
- Email/SMS campaigns to re-engage past rental customers
- Google My Business optimization and storytelling content for our custom instruments
- Teacher/school outreach and SPAC/festival marketing
Ideal for marketing, communications, music, or arts management students who want real portfolio pieces and exposure to the classical music and arts scene. Pay is $15–$20 per hour or college credit (your choice). Flexible remote work + occasional in-person in Saratoga/Albany area.
