Social Media & Marketing Intern (Part-Time)

Jail Guitar Doors is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Social Media & Content Intern to support our communications efforts. This role is ideal for a currently enrolled college or university student who is interested in storytelling, digital media, and community-based work.

The intern will assist with content creation, social media management, and general communications tasks across platforms. Responsibilities include drafting captions and newsletters, supporting short-form content creation, and learning to use a range of tools for editing, scheduling, and publishing content.

This position requires approximately 15 hours per week from June through December, with a combination of in-office and remote work. The intern should be comfortable commuting between JGD headquarters and The C.A.P.O. Center, located on 3rd and Fairfax (approximately one mile apart).

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a college or university (required)
• Strong writing skills, with the ability to craft clear and engaging captions and short-form content
• Interest in social media, storytelling, and digital content creation
• Willingness to learn new tools and platforms
• Reliable and able to manage time effectively in a hybrid work environment
• Ability to commute between two work locations approximately one mile apart

Preferred (not required):

• Experience with photography, video, or short-form content creation
