Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nurturing young children, fostering their development, and creating a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment. As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you will be responsible for guiding and supervising a classroom of toddlers, implementing age-appropriate activities, and collaborating with families to support each child's growth. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and developmental milestones.
  • Provide attentive care to toddlers, ensuring their safety, well-being, and emotional security.
  • Foster positive behavior management strategies to promote social skills and cooperation among children.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
  • Collaborate with assistant teachers and staff to ensure consistency in care and educational approaches.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental needs.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, safety protocols, and health guidelines such as first aid procedures.
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, classroom management, and inclusive education practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for toddler care.
  • Experience with classroom management and behavior management techniques.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
  • Background knowledge in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
  • Ability to create a nurturing environment that supports emotional growth and social skills development.
