U.S. Army Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP)

Attention Incoming Medical Students – Final FY26 Scholarship Opportunities Available

The U.S. Army is currently accepting applications from students who are beginning medical school this year and are interested in competing for a Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) scholarship.

Important: The final FY26 application deadline is 10 August, and scholarship opportunities remain available for qualified applicants.

 

Eligibility requirements: 

  • Strong academic background: 
    • MCAT: 500 or better 
    • GPA: 3.2 or better 
    • Applied to or accepted into an accredited MD or DO program 
  • Meet physical, medical, and moral standards 

 

Program benefits: 

  • Full tuition and coverage at any accredited U.S. medical school (MD/ DO)  
  • Monthly living stipend of $2999 while in school  
  • $20,000 Commission bonus 
  • Reimbursement for books, equipment, and academic fees 
  • Officer pay during Active-Duty training opportunities 

 

Career and Compensation After Graduation:

  • Commission as a Captain (O-3) in the U.S Army Medical Corps
  • Earn $135,000 - $155,000 annually during residency 
  • Get paid to train while completing residency-no additional student debt
