Reports To: Manager of Camp Programs
Position Overview
The Lifeguard ensures the health, safety, and well-being of campers during pool, and daily camp activities while creating a positive, inclusive camp experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor pool and waterfront areas to ensure camper safety
- Open and close the pool daily and maintain a clean pool environment
- Enforce safety rules and respond to weather or hazardous conditions
- Lead and participate in camp activities, encouraging camper engagement
- Provide direct care and support for campers’ daily living needs
- Assist with documentation, incident reporting, and staff communication
Required Qualifications
- Current Lifeguard Certification (re-certification reimbursement available)
- Minimum age of 18
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working with children (preferred)
- Camp or disability-related experience (preferred)
