Inside Sales Assistant
About the Role:
You will work with Inside Sales team to serve customers and grow sales of products to markets by effectively managing domestic administrative functions such as: coordinate sales documentation from preparation to final submission and closure; work with service centers and freight forwarders to ensure shipments are handled in a timely manner; communicate with internal and external customers in a professional, expedient manner; support Inside Sales in their day to day activities and assist with customer service.
Qualifications:
Education: Associates Degree in Business or Equivalent Experience; B.S./B.A. Degree (preferred)
Experience: 1-3 years as inside sales assistant or 3-4 years in other related areas
Areas of Knowledge: Business, domestic or international sales, business application software, superalloys market and export documentation
Skills: Computer literacy, communication skills, organizational skills, math proficiency, problem solving, multitasking, data Analysis, interpersonal communications and professionalism
Role Responsibilities:
- Professionally manage incoming calls and e-mail requests, determine customer's needs and assist or forward to proper person
- Assist with quoting to resellers
- Track the flow of sales order documents from submission through shipment and payment
- Communicate timely with freight forwarder while ensuring accurate and complete information
- Maintain well organized files for the Windsor, CT inside sales team
- Manage online inquiries and redirect to Marketing, Sales, or Technical Personnel
- Support inside sales with contract review, quote entry, and matching and filing shipping documents when required
- Add/Maintain new customer and Prospects information in AX
- Make recommendations to improve office procedures based on acquired experience
- Assist sales with various sales reports (expense reports, customer reports) as required
