What You'll Be Doing
The Network Administrator is responsible for the secure, reliable, and efficient operation of the Town’s network infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on Cisco routing, switching, wireless, and firewall platforms. This position installs, configures, and maintains LAN/WAN, VPN, and secure remote connectivity solutions, including Cisco Firepower and Cisco Secured Access (preferred) and secure mobile routers used for public safety, field operations, and remote sites. The Network Administrator plays a key role in protecting Town systems and data by implementing network security controls, monitoring issues, and responding quickly to incidents.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in network administration in an enterprise environment, including hands-on work with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Experience supporting firewall and VPN solutions and managing secure connectivity with external agencies or partners.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) required or the ability to obtain within 12 months after hire.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Enterprise or Security).
- Additional relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, Cisco Firepower, or equivalent) are desirable.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
