Job Description:

The Executive Assistant to the President/CEO provides high-level administrative and operational support to ensure the efficient functioning of the Executive Office. This role serves as a key liaison between the CEO and internal and external stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, Policy Council, leadership team, and community partners.
 

The Executive Assistant manages executive communications, coordinates governance activities, and supports organizational initiatives, including board relations and strategic projects. This position requires a high degree of professionalism, discretion, independent judgment, and strong organizational and communication skills.
 

Pay Scale:

 $2,442.30/ per pay period (Bi-weekly)

Additional Benefits for Eligible Employees (25+ hours per week): 

 

CPCD offers paid vacation time, paid sick time, and paid holidays/Breaks. 

• Paid Holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Juneteenth, Presidents Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day

• Paid Breaks include 1-week for Spring Break (March), 1-week for Fall Break (November), and 2- weeks for Winter Break (end of December/beginning of January).

Requirements

 

Required: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, English, communication or a related field.

• Minimum of three (3) years of successful work experience in a comparable position.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ability to multi-task, self-motivated, works independently, completes projects and meets deadlines.

• Critical thinking and problem solving skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work under pressure and produce accurate outcomes. Excellent grammar, writing, editing and proofreading skills. Experience in taking minutes of meetings.

• Good interpersonal skills to effectively relate with the public and staff personally and on the telephone.

• Must have knowledge and practical skills of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.).

• Type 50+ wpm. Skills to operate general office equipment and machines. Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of information, demonstrating appropriate judgment and discretion.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination, TB test, drug test (including marijuana), and background check in accordance with the Office of Head Start Performance Standards and Childcare Licensing. (Physical examination and TB test thereafter as required).

• Must have access to reliable transportation and if using a personal vehicle must maintain minimum liability insurance as determined by the State of Colorado.

 

Preferred: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

• Experience as an Executive Assistant.
