Social Media Intern

Tradesmen International is a national leader in providing skilled craftworkers to construction, industrial, energy, institutional, and manufacturing companies across the U.S.  We have 88 offices in the U.S. We partner with contractors to help keep projects on time and on budget wile supporting our craftworkers with meaningful opportunities.  

Social Media, Content & Communications Intern (Summer)

Hours: 10–15 hours per week

Location: Remote - U.S. Based with optional in office opportunities in Ohio.

Duration: Summer internship (flexible start/end dates)

We’re looking for a creative and motivated intern to help support our social media, content, and communications efforts this summer. This is a hands-on role where you’ll gain real experience creating content for a national brand , not just observing from the sidelines.

What You’ll Do

  • Create and help schedule posts for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
  • Write captions, hashtags, and short-form social copy
  • Assist with creating short videos (Reels, TikTok, behind-the-scenes clips)
  • Help with basic video editing using tools like Canva or CapCut
  • Support internal communications (newsletters, intranet posts, announcements)
  • Organize and manage photo and video files
  • Track basic engagement metrics and social performance
  • Research trends and bring new content ideas to the team

What We’re Looking For

  • Current college student or recent graduate
  • Major or interest in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, or related field
  • Comfortable using social media platforms (especially Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn)
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Organized, reliable, and eager to learn
  • Creative mindset and attention to detail

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe, or similar tools
  • Interest in video editing, storytelling, or employer branding
  • Familiarity with analytics or social insights
