Overview:
Seeking a dynamic and strategic Content & Digital Media Manager to lead the development and execution of our digital storytelling and multimedia content strategy. This role is responsible for shaping how we tell our story—across video, podcast, and digital platforms—while ensuring alignment with the organizational priorities in economic development, talent, and tourism.
The ideal candidate is both a creator and a strategist—someone who can produce high-quality content while also thinking critically about audience, platform growth, and impact. This individual brings energy, creativity, and a passion for storytelling, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where ideas move quickly and execution matters.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Strategy & Storytelling Leadership
- Lead digital content strategy across video, podcast, and social platforms.
- Identify and develop compelling stories that highlight economic development wins, talent initiatives, tourism assets, and regional momentum.
- Partner across departments to translate priorities into engaging, audience-focused content.
- Ensure consistency in voice, brand, and messaging across all platforms.
2. Multimedia Production (Video & Podcast)
- Oversee and execute all aspects of video production, including concepting, filming, editing, and final delivery. (Opportunity to further develop and refine production skills using available tools and resources)
- Manage podcast platform—from content planning and guest coordination to recording, editing, and publishing.
- Maintain high production quality and continuously improve creative output.
- Manage and optimize use of in-house studio.
3. Digital Platform Management & Growth
- Manage and grow presence across key digital platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
- Develop and execute content calendars aligned with strategic initiatives and campaigns.
- Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategy to increase engagement, reach, and audience growth.
- Stay current on platform trends and identify new opportunities to expand reach and relevance.
4. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Execution
- Work closely with internal teams to support priority initiatives through content.
- Coordinate with partners, stakeholders, and external contributors to capture and amplify key stories.
- Support event coverage and real-time content opportunities.
Qualifications
- Experience in digital media, content creation, marketing, communications, or a related field—through professional roles, internships, or relevant academic experience.
- Recent graduates or early-career professionals with demonstrated work in content creation are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in multimedia content creation, including video and/or audio (professional or personal work).
- Working knowledge of video and audio production tools—or a strong willingness and capacity to learn quickly.
- Proficiency in managing and growing social media platforms.
- Strong storytelling instincts with the ability to translate complex initiatives into clear, engaging content.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.).
- Familiarity with social media analytics and performance tracking tools.
- Understanding of SEO and digital content optimization.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, mission-driven or collaborative organization.
