Position Summary
At Neighborhood House we provide quality preschool, youth programs and adult care in the Salt Lake Valley based on each client’s ability to pay. As the Administrative Assistant, you will be the initial point of contact for our clients as they enter our premises. Your role demands a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service in a positive and welcoming manner.
As an Administrative Assistant, you'll not only be the friendly face greeting our guests and clients, but also the driving force behind our administrative excellence. You'll be the maestro of organization, ensuring our files and records are meticulously maintained. Not only will you be responsible for the collection and entering of data information into our systems, but also the keeper of valuable statistics that help guide our decisions.

Position Responsibilities
Daily / Weekly Responsibilities
- Greet all guests as they enter the building, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and assisting with check-in and inquiries about our programs
- Act as the main point of contact for families enrolling clients into services, including determining fees and managing all required registration documentation
- Process client payments and maintain accurate records
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Maintain clear and effective communication with both clientele and staff
- Provide general administrative and clerical support, including managing clientele reports, mail distribution, filing, copying, scanning, and other office tasks
- Manage and maintain office supplies and inventory, ensuring that the workspace is organized and fully stocked
- Offer Spanish translation services (both written and verbal) as needed for internal and external communication
- Assist in the tracking and reporting of statistics related to service delivery and other operational processes
- Contribute to the overall smooth operation of the office by handling tasks and supporting other departments as necessary
Qualifications:
- Strong command of the English and Spanish language (Verbal and Written)
- 3+ years hands-on administrative experience
- Energetic personality with commitment to excellent customer service across diverse populations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management
- Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
