About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and customer-focused Ticket Booth Attendant to support operations for Cleveland Water Taxi and Cleveland Tiki Boats. This position serves as the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in delivering a smooth, enjoyable experience from arrival to boarding.
This is a fast-paced, outdoor role ideal for someone who thrives in hospitality, enjoys working with people, and can stay organized during high-traffic events such as concerts, festivals, and game days.
Note: This position is not affiliated with the Cleveland Metroparks Water Taxi.
Key Responsibilities
- Process ticket sales and operate point-of-sale systems
- Greet guests and provide accurate information on routes, schedules, and services
- Check in reservations using FareHarbor or similar booking platforms
- Contact reservation holders and prospective customers, including managing waitlists and follow-ups
- Monitor and respond to company emails professionally and promptly
- Coordinate with captains, dock staff, and team members to ensure smooth boarding operations
- Maintain inventory and update workspace documents and tracking systems
- Support internal communication between crew and operations staff
- Assist with clerical tasks such as organizing documents, filing, and maintaining task lists
- Restock vessels with necessary supplies and report shortages
- Prepare materials and packages for scheduled cruises and events
Qualifications
Required:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Excellent time-management and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Reliable transportation
- Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and major events
- Basic math skills and comfort handling cash and card transactions
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in summer conditions
Preferred:
- Experience in hospitality, tourism, or guest services
- Experience with POS or booking systems (e.g., FareHarbor)
- Familiarity with Cleveland waterfront attractions and events
Schedule
- 4-hour and 8-hour shifts available
- Day and night shifts
- Wednesday–Sunday (weekends required)
