Position Summary
NOTE: CHATTAHOOCHEE VALLEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE OBSERVES EASTERN TIME.
This is a non-supervisory position under the general direction of the Associate Dean of Student Development and Success. The employee is responsible for coordinating and performing general administrative tasks in support of the department. The Student Development and Success Coordinator/Testing Center Technician will perform a variety of administrative functions and will work collaboratively with administrators, faculty, and students in promoting student academic and personal achievement.
SALARY: Appropriate placement on Salary Schedule C3, Rank I: $48,269-$70,897.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Coordinates with the Associate Dean with student activities/events each semester, to include the creation of the activities/events calendar, submission
of work orders, set-up, purchasing and off campus pick-up of food and supplies, and event breakdown. - Coordinates and participates in student onboarding activities, pre-college orientation sessions, and other student- focused activities.
- Receive visitors to the office; determine nature of their visit and/or request; route request to appropriate individual.
- Schedule appointments for students to meet with the Associate Dean who provides disability support services.
- Assist the Associate Dean with the ADA accommodations process and with the disabled parking decal process.
- Proctor Americans with Disabilities Act testing as needed.
- Provide information regarding student registration process, programs of study , and degrees offered at the college.
- Coordinate, organize, and participate in the selection process for Leadership Scholarship students and maintain Leadership students’ service hours.
- Assist with organizing and managing Student Government Association (SGA) elections.
- Assist the Associate Dean with Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) membership drive and event logistics.
- Manage general email correspondence with Leadership Scholarship students, and SGA and PTK members.
- Create anddisseminate flyers associated with student activities, the College’s Testing Center, SGA, PTK, and New StudentExperience.
- Coordinate andmanage the logistics and set-up of New Student Experience.
- Submit purchase requisitions and complete orders for the office; complete all travel-related purchase requisitions and reimbursement documents for the Associate Dean.
- Maintain, update, and amend records of departmental expenditure to ensure compliance with budgets as needed.
- Edit outgoing letters and correspondence for accuracy and content.
- Serve as the Recorder for departmental staff meetings and for other meetings as requested.
- Maintain calendar for scheduled meetings; ensure that the requested materials and equipment are present for the meetings.
- Manage the College’s electronic display boards.
- Ensure all documents and records are appropriately filed; train work-study students in the filing system.
- Ensure work-study students are trained in office procedures, as well as the use of office equipment; assist them with assignments as needed.
- Function as the alternative examiner for the Testing Center Technician, as needed, by administering Accuplacer Placement Testing and organizing and conducting GED testing and ensuring examinees have completed by following testing requirements.
- Coordinate with appropriate divisions to schedule various tests offered through the College's Testing Center.
- Complete required training in order to stay in compliance with National Testing Center Guidelines.
- As a Campus Security Authority(CSA), report to the official or office designated by the institution to collect crime report information, such as the campus police or security department, those allegations of Clery Act crimes that the CSA concludes were made in good faith.
- Know, understand, and comply with state and federal laws, including FERPA and the Students First Act.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Participate in advance registration, regular registration, and schedule adjustment as assigned.
- Serve on committees as assigned.
- Participate in graduation.
- Participate in the College’s planning process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution
- Two (2) years of directly related full-time experience
- High degree of workplace professionalism, with excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
- Self-directed with excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic
- Ability to meet the public in a friendly and receptive manner, and to interact and deal with the general public and fellow employees on a daily basis
- Ability to work a flexible, non-standard workweek
- Proficient use of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Outlook
- Effective oral and written communication skills; proficiency in the English language.
PREFERRED:
- Two (2) years of experience in higher education, working directly with students; and experience administering standardized tests.
