Program Associate

Program Associate  

Position Description: 

The Program Associate supports the planning, implementation, evaluation, and dissemination of all Field & Fork Network programs. This includes supporting day-to-day operations, grant compliance, customer service and outreach, the research and development of new programming, and other duties as assigned.   

Project Management 

  • Build and maintain a statewide network of customers and advocates to support programmatic and policy goals. 
  • Lead the development and distribution of onboarding, branding, and training materials; webinars; and other informational resources to program sites. 
  • Lead special projects related to program dissemination and outreach.  

 

Program Oversight & Technical Assistance  

  • Assist with daily program operations to ensure consistent, high-quality implementation across sites. 
  • Research grant opportunities and prepare application materials for grants aligned with programmatic priorities. 
  • Monitor program outcomes and assist with program grant reporting. 
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for program sites, participants, and customers. 
  • Conduct site visits, audits, and surveys to evaluate program compliance and the effectiveness of branded materials. 
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on sites, contacts, and meetings. 
  • Ad hoc programmatic support as assigned. 
  • Create programmatic communication materials that meet diverse literacy needs and accessibility standards. 
  • Create engaging digital and social media content that clearly communicates key program messages and drives audience awareness and engagement. 

 

Strategic Plan Implementation 

  • Prepare briefings, summaries, and data insights to support the Director of Programs & Strategy and inform strategic decisions. 
  • Track progress toward strategic goals and identify opportunities to strengthen program implementation. 
  • Prepare materials for stakeholder meetings and other external presentations. 
  • Increase program awareness by working with the Communications team to develop and disseminate success stories through social media, newsletters, and media events. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • B.S. or B.A. degree in public health, social work, nutrition, food systems, or a related field required; M.A. degree preferred. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including high emotional intelligence and the ability to lead group trainings and build strong partnerships. 
  • Grant writing experience preferred. 
  • Self-directed, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. 
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license; occasional travel required (15-20% time). 
  • Program Associate: 1-3 years of progressively responsible experience in program or project management, preferably in a nonprofit or public health setting. 
  • Senior Program Associate: 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in program or project management, preferably in a nonprofit or public health setting. 

 

What We Offer: 

  • The expected salary range for this position is 57,000-64,000.
  • Your salary is supplemented with a competitive benefits package including health benefits, paid time off, and 401(k) employer match.
  • Field & Fork Network operates in Buffalo, NY under a hybrid work model, with three days in the office and two days working remotely.
