About the Role:
The Revenue Analyst supports the sales and marketing teams by analyzing data, maintaining reports, and contributing to insights that improve overall revenue performance. This entry-level role focuses on developing foundational analytics skills, working with structured datasets, and assisting in measuring effectiveness across both sales and marketing channels.
The analyst partners with cross-functional teams to support reporting, monitor key performance metrics, and contribute to ongoing analysis efforts, prioritizing projects based on business importance. This is a growth-oriented role designed to build expertise in revenue analytics, data tools, and business insights.
Essential Duties:
- Support analysis of marketing, and sales data, applying foundational analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends and performance insights.
- Assist in building and maintaining dashboards, reports, and visualizations, ensuring data accuracy and clarity for internal stakeholders.
- Partner with marketing and sales teams to support project tracking and performance reporting, developing an understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) and business impact across the revenue funnel.
- Gather, clean, and validate data from multiple sources, demonstrating strong attention to detail and a commitment to data quality and consistency.
- Prepare clear and concise reports and summaries, communicating findings in a way that is accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support ad hoc analysis and business requests from sales and marketing, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with guidance.
- Contribute to process documentation and workflow improvements, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and streamline reporting.
- Monitor and track key revenue and performance metrics, building foundational knowledge of customer behavior, segmentation, and effectiveness of go-to-market strategies.
- Assist with basic analysis of results from sales or marketing initiatives, learning how to evaluate performance and support data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate effectively across teams, building strong working relationships and contributing to shared goals.
- Learn and apply data tools and technologies (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI platforms) to support analysis and reporting needs.
- Demonstrate curiosity and initiative by continuously building knowledge of revenue analytics best practices and tools, including exposure to AI-driven tools and automation.
- Follow established data governance standards, supporting efforts to maintain reliable and high-quality datasets.
Work Environment:
- Travel Requirements: This position is not expected to require travel.
- Hybrid: This position is hybrid, allowing flexibility to work from home, which requires a reliable internet connection in a private setting, and from the office, which is a collaborative open-office environment with access to private meeting spaces as needed
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in data analysis, or a related field (internships applicable).
- Basic proficiency in Excel and SQL.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Exposure to marketing, sales, or general revenue concepts or analytics through coursework, internships, or projects.
- Interest in using AI-powered tools and automation to improve efficiency and workflows.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship or academic project experience in revenue analytics or data analysis.
- Exposure to tools such as:
- CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
- Marketing platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot)
- Familiarity with basic statistical concepts or testing methodologies.
