Summer Intern

ONE RIOT SUMMER INTERNSHIP 2026


 

One Riot is seeking a detail-oriented & motivated part-time paid intern to support the admin, creative publishing, and label teams for 15-20 hours per week, starting June 8th, 2026. Candidates must have a passion for music, be enthusiastic about social media, and have the ability to multitask. Major duties of the job will be administrative, creative ideation, and assisting with social media.



 

Primary Responsibilities:


 

Publishing Administrative Support 

Support admin team with on-boarding of new catalogs & maintaining existing catalog (within the DISCO file management platform), including metadata organization & population, audio file organization & population, audio tagging and lyric transcription (when necessary)

Help the creative team in ingesting music using DISCO, Chartmetric, excel, and other applications.

Assist in company social media content creation and posting utilizing Canva/Photoshop to create graphics for releases, spotlights, etc.

Join Nashville team in attending local shows for current & prospective signings

Office management duties including sorting mail, answering phones, running errands, and other administrative tasks

Other duties may be required


 

Label Support 

Support planning and execution of music release campaigns

Maintain project timelines, checklists, and task tracking across teams

Track campaign milestones

Prepare internal documents including marketing plans, release calendars, and status updates

Graphic design support when needed

Upload and maintain metadata for singles, EPs, albums, and catalog releases

Coordinate asset delivery including audio files, artwork, lyrics, and credits

Maintain release documentation and delivery checklists


 

Policies and Expectations 

When absence is required, communicate directly to the supervisor via email with at least 24-hour notice.

Intern dress should be music business casual.

We love answering questions and hearing your ideas! If the team is busy, please write your questions down and ask your supervisor at a later time. It is also helpful if you take notes during meetings.



 

Qualifications:

 Must love music! Ideally with a specific passion for the Americana / Indie / country genres

Must have a great overall attitude and a desire to work in the music industry

Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented

Ambition to join a music publishing company in a paid part time or full time capacity

Team player with ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously

Ability to work efficiently in a satellite office without daily supervision

Ability to consistently work under pressure in a professional manner; excellent problem solver

Proficient with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Meta, etc…

Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of employees including Sr. Management and Artists/Writers

Must stay up to date with current music industry trends

Proficient in Slack, Google Drive (Sheets, Docs) & Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

Prior experience with music cataloging software (DISCO, Songspace, etc) is a plus

College Degree in process
