Department: Warehouse / QA
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor / QA Supervisor
Location: Anaheim, CA
Pay Range: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour

Position Summary
- The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting warehouse, production, and quality operations. This role helps ensure material availability, inventory accuracy, compliance with company procedures, and timely support of production and order fulfillment.
- This position works cross-functionally with Warehouse, QA, QC, Production, Planning, Shipping/Receiving, and related teams to monitor inventory movement, resolve discrepancies, manage data entry, and support inventory control processes in a GMP-regulated environment.

This position will be located in our Warehouse.
Some daily lifting of boxes between 15–25 lbs is required.
Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs may be required approximately once a month.

Reporting Relationships
The Inventory Control Specialist reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and/or QA Supervisor, with cross-functional support responsibilities across warehouse and quality-related departments.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control & Accuracy
Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging components, labels, finished goods, and warehouse supplies
- Count designated products and materials on a daily basis
- Support and perform cycle counts, monthly counts, and annual physical inventory
- Research inventory discrepancies and complete inventory adjustments in accordance with approved procedures
- Verify quantities and item movements in the inventory management system
- Maintain active and inactive inventory items accurately in the system
- Monitor inventory accuracy metrics and prepare associated reports for management

Warehouse & Material Handling Support
- Track material usage and availability to support production and fulfillment needs
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities as needed
- Verify received items against purchase orders, packing lists, and invoices
- Inspect the condition of incoming merchandise and materials
- Prepare outgoing shipments and shipping-related documentation
- Receive and issue finished goods and other materials into the inventory management database
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of internal material transfers between departments or locations

Quality, Compliance & Shelf-Life Monitoring
- Follow company SOPs, GMP/cGMP requirements, and safety procedures
- Release labels from quarantine according to SOP requirements
- Track and report non-conforming products or materials
- Record and monitor shelf-life / expiration dates of raw materials and components
- Communicate expired or near-expiry materials to the warehouse or appropriate teams for timely action
- Perform inventory adjustments for expired materials and components in accordance with company procedures
- Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with warehouse, manufacturing, and quality teams

Administrative & Reporting Support
- Perform data entry, reporting, and documentation with a high level of accuracy
- Prepare monthly reports for cycle counts, inventory highlights, and pick-list counts
- Assist with updates to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) when needed
- Report inventory-related issues to management in a timely manner
- Support other projects and duties as assigned by management

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; some college coursework required
- 2–3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related field preferred
- Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, food/pharma, or regulated environment is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively across multiple departments
- Proficient in data entry with minimal errors
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Experience with ERP systems or other inventory management software preferred

Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- This position is based in the warehouse environment
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, and move throughout the warehouse
- Ability to lift boxes weighing 15–25 lbs on a daily basis
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs (approximately once per month)
- Must be able to perform routine warehouse-related physical activities safely
