Employer Relations and Operations Coordinator
The University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) University Career Services office seeks an Employer Relations & Operations Coordinator to support employer engagement, operational excellence, and high-quality recruiting experiences. Reporting to the Director, this position serves as a key point of contact for employers recruiting UNL students for part-time, internship, and full-time opportunities and plays an essential role in ensuring smooth, consistent recruiting operations across campus.
This role combines employer relations with hands-on coordination and financial management. The Employer Relations & Operations Coordinator regularly communicates with employers to build and strengthen relationships with organizations that hire UNL students; develops employer recruitment connections and resources; manages campus recruiting processes and employer activity; and supports logistics for career fairs and recruitment events. The position also monitors departmental budgets, generates career fair invoices, and tracks payments and outstanding balances. In addition, the Employer Relations & Operations Coordinator supports office operations, responds to inquiries from students, employers, and campus partners, and supervises student workers. This position is ideal for a highly organized, customer service-oriented professional who enjoys balancing relationship-building with detailed operational work in a collaborative, student-centered environment.

Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of customer service or office related experience.
- Additional years of relevant experience or completed relevant education may substitute for required education/experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Experience working with confidential information.
- Experience working with budgets or financial information.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently using strong organizational skills.
- Excellent computer skills, including the use of spreadsheets, the internet, email, and online calendars, are necessary.
- Ability to use or learn new technology is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business.
- Experience working in an educational setting is desirable.
- Experience with Handshake or other career services or customer relationship management technology preferred.
