IT Intern

Job Summary

The IT Development Intern will play an active role in supporting application and software development projects within the Information Technology department. This internship is designed to provide meaningful experience in designing, coding, testing, and deploying software solutions that address real business needs and operational challenges. The intern will collaborate with IT professionals on application development, system integration, automation, and process improvement initiatives, along with gaining exposure to standard IT operations and user support.

This opportunity is ideal for a student or recent graduate eager to build practical skills in software development, data analytics, and cross-functional project work in a professional environment.

 

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with IT staff to design, develop, and test internal applications, scripts, or automation tools.
  • Participate in coding projects using languages and technologies relevant to the organization (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, etc.)
  • Contribute to the deployment, documentation, and maintenance of new features or enhancements for business-critical systems.
  • Help ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing quality checks.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on IT projects.
  • Participate in team meetings and communicate development progress and challenges to IT leadership.
  • Provide support for standard IT tasks and user inquiries as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.

Environment

  • Hybrid work environment that mixes in-office and remote work to offer flexibility and support to employees. In-office hours are set by group Manager.
  • Work hours are usually 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
