Business Intern
SUNPOWER is hiring a Business Intern to join our Solar Operations team for summer 2026. This is a paid, hands-on internship where you'll get real experience working in an office setting on real solar projects not just watching from the sidelines. It’s ideal for someone looking to break into business operations, construction management, data analytics, sustainability, supply chain, or administrative work.
We’ve had past interns go on to full-time roles at SunPower, but we’ve also seen this experience open doors in other industries. The mix of direct responsibility, fast-moving work, and exposure to cross-functional teams creates a great launch pad for just about any career. We’ve had success stories before, and we’re looking to add more this summer.
What You’ll Do:
- Learn how to navigate city and county permit systems as we expand into new markets
- Submit permit applications and track them through local authorities (AHJs)
- Work closely with engineering teams, third-party contractors, and city departments to keep projects moving
- Organize and deliver completed permits to install teams and keep internal records clean and current
- Get an inside look at how residential solar projects get off the ground from a permitting perspective
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Clear, professional communication written and verbal
- Interest in clean energy, construction, or operations
- Someone dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working on a deadline
- Must be able to work on-site in Orem, UT (this is not a remote position)
