Job description

Hospitality Homes is seeking a passionate and motivated Marketing & Development Intern to help us raise awareness and funds that support families traveling to Boston for critical medical care. This role is perfect for someone looking to gain real-world experience in nonprofit development, social media strategy, event support, and fundraising communications all while making a meaningful impact.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Create & Manage Content: Design engaging posts for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn using Canva.
  • Social Media Strategy: Schedule posts via Sendible and interact with followers, donors, and partners.
  • Event Support: Assist with event promotion, social media coverage, and day-of tasks for fundraising events.
  • July 16th 2026 is our 24th Annual Charity Golf Classic. It is mandatory to be able to attend this event to help with day of photos and overall event support. 
  • Email Marketing: Help plan, write, and send email communications via Constant Contact.
  • Admin & Data: Provide general administrative support, including data entry, metric tracking, and database updates.
  • Creative Project: Build a portfolio of your work throughout the internship for your professional development.

What We’re Looking For

  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms & current best practices
  • Experience creating content in Canva (or similar tools)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and email marketing tools (Constant Contact a plus)
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a small, fast-paced team
  • Must be available for in person event July 16, 2026

Compensation & Schedule

  • Preferred: Students seeking course credit
  • Additional: Minimum wage compensation may be considered
  • Hours: 8–10 per week, May/June–August (option to extend through Fall 2026)
  • Mostly remote, with occasional in-person events and flexible scheduling during office hours (9 AM–5 PM). 
  • Prefer students who live in the Boston area so if needed can make a trip to our office in Brookline, MA.
