GSOC Intelligence Analyst

- The pay is $28/hour; $29/hour for night rotation.
- Shift work operates on a rotating schedule. We will work with you to accommodate any class schedules, but analysts are expected to work one Morning, Afternoon, and Night shift during the year, rotating every 4 months to a new schedule. Analysts are expected to work all three rotations and includes some mandatory availability on weekends and some holidays.
- The position is contracted through GSG Protective Services, which embeds Analysts into News Corp's GSOC.
What You Will Do
GSOC Intelligence Analysts support News Corp Global Safety and Security Management and other business function leaders. Analysts are expected to perform incident recognition/escalation, OSINT research, intelligence analysis, and facilitate emergency response. Analysts act as partners, working closely with reporting and security teams across the organization to deliver timely analysis and present critical insights to internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be inquisitive and articulate, with a strong interest in monitoring global news and information. Candidates must have solid geographical knowledge and the ability to perform effectively in brief, high-pressure situations.
Highlights
This is a shift position in a 24/7-staffed Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) that monitors worldwide and high-risk operations. Shifts rotate throughout the year and include work on nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be available and flexible to work various shifts.
- Location: Fox Studio Lot, Century City, Los Angeles, CA
- Working Arrangement: All shifts are onsite in the GSOC; remote work is unavailable.
- Hourly Wage: $28.00/hr. ($29.00/hr Night Differential)
- Frequency of Pay: Weekly via direct deposit or mail.
- Work Hours: Full-time (5 days per week).

Schedule: The GSOC is generally flexible and accommodating to academic schedules, as long as GSOC operations' needs can still be met. The GSOC requires hires to be open to a 24/7/365 schedule of the following shifts:
- Morning: 0530 ➙ 1400
- Afternoon: 1330 ➙ 2200
- Night: 2130 ➙ 0600

Daily Job Duties
- Monitoring all communications (email, phones, messenger apps) and ensuring timely response.
- Answering assistance requests from employees worldwide (badge access, travel concerns, etc.).
- Communicating timely, concise, and relevant information and analysis to security stakeholders in various business units under tight deadlines.
- Monitoring the global risk and geopolitical situation; analyzing multiple sources for timely, accurate, and relevant information.
- Escalating developing risks with company impact; conducting proactive outreach to stakeholders, travelers, and other contacts during developing incidents.
- Assisting with company mass notifications and emergency communications.
- Supporting crisis mitigation and business continuity planning, involving people and assets.
- Compiling risk and intelligence reports for stakeholders.
- Supporting travel security, monitoring traveler locations, and performing check-ins & welfare checks.
- Completing multi-page reports on metrics, high-risk travel, and security.
- Performing administrative tasks & operations as directed by management, including updates to logs and project management tools.
- Leading occasional incident management briefs to stakeholders with intelligence forecasts and risks.
- Access control to facilities and camera monitoring.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or 2 years of equivalent experience.
- Must have strong, professional writing and verbal communication skills.
- Be proactive and comfortable with independent outreach to management and stakeholders.
- Ability to make decisions, multitask, and operate in high-stress situations, often under time limits.
- Experience with intaking and parsing information in emergency situations.
- Possess working knowledge of current global events, geography, and cultures; degrees in political science, international relations, intelligence, national security, and analysis are a plus.
- Ability to analyze and think critically, sometimes under ambiguous circumstances.
- Strong computer skills and experience working with complex platforms. Ample understanding of social media and communications platforms.
- Strong team player and willing to assist the team with overtime when needed.
- Open-source intelligence-gathering (OSINT) background is a plus.
Selection Process
- Preference is given to those with any GSOC experience.
- Preference is given to those who already live within commutable distance to Century City/Los Angeles.
- Strong passions in global affairs is a major plus.
- Ideal candidates are inquisitive, research-focused, very interested in global developments, tech-savvy, and work extremely well in a team environment.
