Internship Term: June 1, 2026 – July 31, 2026
Compensation: $250 stipend for the full 8-week internship

 

Support Allies Way’s fundraising pipeline by researching grant opportunities, tracking deadlines, organizing development systems, and identifying donor and philanthropic prospects.

 

Allies Way is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Development Research & Prospecting Intern to support fundraising research, grant tracking, and development operations during the summer term.

This internship is ideal for a student or emerging professional who is interested in nonprofit fundraising strategy, donor research, grant identification, and behind-the-scenes development support. The intern will help identify grant opportunities, organize deadlines, clean up and maintain development tracking systems, and research potential philanthropists, donor prospects, and aligned funding opportunities.

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys research, organization, and working with systems to keep important projects moving. The Summer Development Research & Prospecting Intern will play an important role in helping Allies Way strengthen its funding pipeline in support of programs that serve families in crisis.

Responsibilities

  • Research grant opportunities aligned with Allies Way’s mission and programs
  • Track deadlines, submission requirements, and funding priorities
  • Help organize and maintain the organization’s grant tracker and development pipeline
  • Assist with cleaning up existing grant and funding records
  • Build and maintain a clear grant calendar for upcoming opportunities
  • Research potential donor, philanthropist, and sponsorship prospects aligned with Allies Way’s work
  • Help organize notes, next steps, and follow-up actions in Monday.com or similar tracking systems
  • Support general development research and fundraising operations as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong research and organizational skills
  • Interest in nonprofit development, fundraising strategy, philanthropy, or donor relations
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work carefully with details
  • Comfortable organizing information in spreadsheets, trackers, or project management systems
  • Dependable, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Strong written professionalism and clear note-taking ability
  • Prior experience is helpful but not required
