Tennessee Youth Employment Program Participant

DEFINITION: Under direct supervision, assists in a variety of duties as needed/outlined by the department.

Tasks for this position varies by department. Tasks will be determined based on the day to day business needs and trends. The duties for this position may change at any time. Performs other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

 

Knowledge of General County Government

Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.

Knowledge of basic computer hardware, software and peripherals.

Knowledge of customer service practices and procedures.

Skill following written and verbal instructions.

Skill accurately and timely keying information into databases.

Skill utilizing verbal and written communication in the drafting of letters and documents.

Skill establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Skill using all Microsoft Office software, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.

Skill effectively communicating in both oral and written form.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and not over twenty-four (24) years of age. 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

 

Work requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and reaching. Work may require long periods of attention to detail, extensive computer keyboarding, and occasional lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, or crawling.
