Preschool Teacher

We have full-time positions with our Newark and Pataskala, OH Head Start/Early Head Start Centers. This position is responsible to provide a successful, safe and supervised educational setting for the children while they are in the Head Start environment (classroom, outdoor play area and field trips).  To promote the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of Head Start children.  To provide frequent contact with the families of the Head Start Children in the classroom and at home.  To keep accurate written notes to develop individualized goals for the children, provide on-going assessment and successful transition into kindergarten.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or related. Preference will be given to applicants with Pre-K certification or license; 2 years' experience in Early Childhood Education program is preferred; must have experience in classroom management in a preschool setting, with an understanding of developmentally appropriate practices.  Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's License and provide proof of auto insurance for work related driving.  Must submit to a background check, including BCI and FBI Criminal Records, Federal and State Sex Offender registries and the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System and be eligible for employment as required by ODJFS. Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's License, provide proof of auto insurance and have a clean driving record for work related driving.   Must complete a pre-employment physical examination and drug screening. Salary range $25.20- $28.37 per hour depending upon degree and license.
