Asset Management Analyst

Asset Management Analyst (Private Equity)

Position Summary 

LBX is a well-established and rapidly growing strategic investor, owner and operator of neighborhood and community shopping centers and multifamily properties throughout the US. 

We are seeking an Asset Management Analyst to support the financial and operational performance of our retail and multifamily portfolio. This role blends financial modeling, data analysis, and asset-level operations, helping to drive strategic decisions across the portfolio. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and fluent in Excel, Argus, and database management, with an interest in how data drives value creation in commercial real estate. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Financial Analysis & Forecasting 

  • Update monthly cash flow forecasts and maintain rolling portfolio projections. 
  • Conduct monthly variance analyses comparing actuals to budgets, underwriting, and prior periods. 
  • Prepare and coordinate annual property budgets with internal teams. 
  • Maintain and update Argus Enterprise and Excel models for all portfolio assets. 
  • Analyze Letters of Intent (LOIs) to assess deal value and compare to underwriting and budget assumptions. 

Property Operations & Accounting Support 

  • Manage CAM, Insurance, and Real Estate Tax reconciliation processes, including variance analysis and coordination of tenant credits or payments. 
  • Oversee reimbursable escrow adjustments and maintain accuracy across accounting systems. 
  • Manage the Tenant Accounts Receivable (AR) tracking and follow-up process. 
  • Develop benchmarking and KPI reports for operating and capital expenses across the portfolio. 

Database & Systems Management 

  • Maintain and enhance the lease abstract database, tracking key terms, renewals, landlord/tenant work, and exclusives/prohibited uses. 
  • Manage the vendor contract database, including bids, certificates of insurance (COIs), W-9s, deliverables, key dates, and payment tracking. 
  • Oversee the work order database, tracking maintenance requests, capital projects, and performance metrics. 
  • Build and maintain dashboards to monitor tenant sales, occupancy, and health ratios. 
  • Develop and manage databases for lender and investor compliance, including budgets, covenants, key dates, and consent tracking. 
  • Maintain records for fire life-safety and utility equipment, ensuring compliance and service continuity. 

Reporting & Insights 

  • Assist in the production of quarterly investor reports, synthesizing financial and operational data. 
  • Support the KPI and benchmarking process across all properties, tracking progress of value-add initiatives. 
  • Partner with Property Management, Accounting, and Acquisitions teams to ensure data integrity across systems. 
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and reporting using internal and external data sources to inform asset-level and portfolio-level decisions. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or Data Analytics. 
  • 0–2 years of experience in real estate asset management, financial analysis, or data analytics (commercial or multifamily preferred). 
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables) required. 
  • Experience with Yardi, Argus, Power BI, or SQL a plus. 
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. 
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, especially in financial reporting contexts.
