Position: Data Science Intern

Location / On-site Required: Corporate Office – Boston Heights OH - 51 E Hines Hill Rd., Boston Heights, OH 44236

Timeframe: June 2026 – August 2026

Hours: 40 hours per week *will work around summer class schedule, if needed

Description:

We are seeking a curious, self-starting, and eager-to-learn Data Science Intern to support our growing data and analytics team. In this role, you will assist with data preparation, basic analytics, and foundational data science tasks that help drive data-informed decision-making across the business. You will gain hands-on experience working with data professionals, learning tools, processes, and methodologies used to support operations in the furniture retail industry.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing, cleaning, and organizing datasets for analysis.
• Exposure to basic machine learning concepts or willingness to learn tools such as scikit‑learn or TensorFlow.
• Support small exploratory AI projects or proof‑of‑concepts under guidance from senior team members.
• Support analysts and data scientists in transforming raw data into structured, usable formats.
• Help build simple reports, dashboards, or visualizations to support business needs.
• Participate in testing and validating predictive models and analytical workflows.
• Maintain accuracy and quality through basic data validation checks.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing across the team.
• Demonstrate curiosity and willingness to learn data tools, techniques, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in a relevant field.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
