Workforce Development Associate
The Workforce Development Associate supports the day-to-day operations for the company’s apprenticeship and workforce development programs. Reporting directly to the Workforce Development Manager, this role helps implement, maintain, and strengthen all early talent initiatives. This position assists with recruitment efforts travel included up to 50%, coordination of related instruction curriculum, on-the-job tracking, and the development of partnerships with public and private institutions to attract and hire top talent. The Workforce Development Associate plays a key role in ensuring programs run efficiently, remain compliant, and continue to grow in alignment with company goals.
Day-to-Day Operations:
- Assist with maintaining documentations
- Serve as a key resource for apprentices and supervisors by responding to questions regarding program requirements, expectations, and progress
- Monitor related instruction progress across apprenticeship programs, determine appropriate wage progression for each apprenticeship period, and communicate grade and progress updates to managers
- Research and support applications for state and local apprenticeship grants to strengthen and expand workforce development programs
Recruiting:
- Assist with outreach efforts by visiting talent source locations such as high schools, technical colleges, and universities, and support participation in career fairs and recruitment events
- Provide recruiting support for apprenticeship programs, Management Trainees, interns, and other entry-level technical positions at the branch level
- Attend trade association meetings, advisory boards, and workforce events as assigned, including skills challenges and student engagement activities
