Legal Research & Litigation Intern
About the Opportunity
Nepternship is connecting qualified students with a potential legal research and litigation internship opportunity at a national law firm in Los Angeles. A role would offer hands-on exposure to case strategy, legal research, and courtroom preparation across active client matters. Interns could work directly alongside practicing attorneys and gain real-world experience in litigation that goes well beyond the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and case law databases to support active litigation matters
- Draft legal memos, case summaries, and correspondence for review by supervising attorneys
- Assist with contract review, document review, and discovery processes across client engagements
- Prepare materials for depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings
- Collaborate with litigation teams on case strategy and client communication
Qualifications
- Pre-law or Political Science major
- Strong legal research skills
- Westlaw or LexisNexis experience
- Exceptional writing ability
