Teacher - Child Development - Early Head Start Home Visitor

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Executive Director or designee, the Early Head Start Home Visitor is responsible for the overall implementation of an integrated, family focused, home based program serving pregnant women and families with children ages 0-3. 

This position is distinguished by employment being determined by Policy Council for the portion paid with Head Start Funds. Continued operation of the Head Start Program and employment of staff is dependent on the availability of federal funding.

 

Requirements / Qualifications

Education/Experience: A combination of formal education, life experience and work experience at a level to demonstrate the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described. An Associate of Arts or Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field with 6 units in infant toddler coursework as well as valid Child Development Permit is required. Knowledge of infant toddler development, family interaction and community resources desired. A minimum of three years recent experience in Early Care and Education Programs is required.
