Performance Coaching Associate

Essential Strength is not your average gym. Founded by Pitt Sports Science alumni, we bridge the gap between physical therapy and elite performance. We are looking for A-Players—ambitious, career-minded individuals who want to master the art of Master’s-level coaching.

If you are a high-achiever looking to build a long-term career in human performance, biomechanics, and evidence-based training, this is your entry point. We don't just want "help"; we want future leaders for our East Liberty facility.

Primary Responsibilities (The Coach)

Performance Support: Assist Master’s-level coaches in executing individualized strength, metabolic, and post-rehab programs.

Technical Mastery: Learn and apply our clinical methodology (biomechanics, bone density, and PRI-based movement).

Client Experience: Maintain the professional, high-energy environment our community expects.

Facility Standards: Ensure the gym operates at an elite level of organization and cleanliness.

The "Value Add": Social Media & Content

While your primary goal is to become an elite coach, we have a significant opportunity for someone with a background—or a strong interest—in digital storytelling.

If you have "The Eye": We are open to expanding this role to include content strategy. Capture the "clinical grit" of our gym and turn it into professional Reels/TikToks.

Brand Building: Use your creative skills to help us tell the stories of our athletes and clients, building both the gym’s brand and your own professional authority.

Minimum Requirements

Career Focus: Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field.

Professionalism: Punctuality, a coachable attitude, and a high level of personal accountability.

The "A-Player" Mindset: You don't wait for instructions; you see a problem and solve it.

Location: Must have reliable transportation to East Liberty.

Specific Skills We Value

Foundational Knowledge: A strong grasp of human anatomy and movement patterns.

Communication: Ability to connect with clients ranging from D1 athletes to seniors.

Bonus Skill: Proficiency in CapCut, Instagram Reels, or Photography. If you can film and edit, mention this in your application—it is a major advantage.
