Special Ed Coordinator K-12 – 2026-2027 School Year

Job Summary:

Elementary (K–5) and Secondary (6–12) Assignments

 

The Special Education Coordinator provides leadership, oversight, and support for district special education programs to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and the delivery of high-quality services to students with disabilities. This position supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of special education services for students ages birth through 22, ensuring alignment with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504, and Minnesota special education regulations.

The coordinator collaborates with district leadership, educators, families, and community partners to ensure effective implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), evaluations, and evidence-based instructional and behavioral supports. The role provides leadership in program development, compliance monitoring, professional learning, and continuous program improvement.

 

Assignments may include Elementary (K–5) or Secondary (6–12) programming, with secondary assignments placing additional emphasis on transition services and post-secondary readiness.
