▌ Who We Are

We are a busy consumer bankruptcy law firm headquartered in Hollywood, Florida, helping individuals and families across South Florida get a fresh financial start through Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy. Our clients come to us at some of the most stressful moments of their lives — and our team takes that responsibility seriously.

We are growing and looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our main office team. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or current student looking to launch a career in the legal field — no prior experience required. We will train the right person.

▌ The Role

As an Administrative Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for our clients — on the phone, in person, and through our client portal. You will support our attorneys and case managers in keeping cases organized, clients informed, and our office running smoothly. Every day is different, and your work directly impacts clients who are counting on us.

▌ What You'll Do

  • Answer inbound client calls professionally and direct inquiries to the appropriate team member or resource
  • Greet clients and visitors at the front desk and create a welcoming, calm environment
  • Manage client records and case files in our practice management systems
  • Send case status updates and correspondence to clients via our client portal and communication tools
  • Assist attorneys and paralegals with document preparation, organizing court filings, and tracking deadlines
  • Collect and organize client intake documents and follow up on outstanding items
  • Handle sensitive personal and financial information with strict confidentiality at all times
  • Support general office operations, including scheduling, mail, scanning, and data entry
  • Communicate with Spanish-speaking clients in their preferred language when needed

▌ What We're Looking For

You don't need a legal background — we'll teach you everything about bankruptcy law and our systems. What we do need is someone who brings these qualities to work every day:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish — written and spoken (strongly preferred)
  • Detail-oriented: you catch things others miss and take pride in accuracy
  • Comfortable with technology: you pick up new software quickly and aren't afraid to learn
  • People-first mindset: you're warm, patient, and professional with clients who may be stressed or emotional
  • Trustworthy: you understand that client information is private and treat it that way
  • Organized and reliable: you follow through, meet deadlines, and ask questions when unsure
  • Team player: you're willing to pitch in wherever the office needs you

▌ Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in progress or completed is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) or Google Workspace
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday–Friday, at our Hollywood, FL office
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

▌ Nice to Have (But Not Required)

  • Coursework or degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, business administration, or a related field
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing role (retail, hospitality, healthcare, etc.)
  • Familiarity with client management software
  • Interest in pursuing a legal career — we love helping team members grow
