Work Location: Corporate Headquarters – North Charleston, SC
Working Hours: Regular hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Job Summary:
The Legal Intern/Law Clerk (Corporate Legal Support) will support an in-house legal team with high-volume, detail-sensitive administrative and research tasks. This position is ideal for someone organized, discreet, dependable, and comfortable following defined processes. May include time-sensitive requests and additional tasks as needed.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Retrieve and organize property tax bills/notices; maintain trackers; flag deadlines/missing items.
• Maintain digital property files (scan/save/index; naming conventions; periodic completeness checks).
• Keep logs/trackers current; provide clear written status updates.
• Conduct basic, supervised research and summaries using approved sources/templates.
• Address verifications using approved sources.
• Confirm zoning jurisdiction/designation.
• Pull and file applicable zoning codes/ordinances.
• Adhere to the Company’s established policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: An ideal candidate will have experience with or understanding of:
• Highly organized; detail-oriented; able to follow structured processes.
• Proficient with Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Handles confidential information appropriately.
Education and Experience: An ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:
• Currently pursuing (or a recent graduate of) a Juris Doctor or Bachelor’s degree in Law, Paralegal, Compliance or related program.
Working environment and physical requirements:
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
• Must be able to remain stationary.
Travel:
• Must be able to travel up to 20%.
