Our Mission & Values

At Virtue Risk Partners, we are a boutique E&S/Specialty underwriting agency specializing in the complex world of environmental risk. We operate at the high-stakes intersection of law, insurance, and environmental science. We value transparency, professional growth, and the analytical rigor that "legal-minded" talent brings to our team.

The Opportunity: Where Law Meets Insurance

This isn’t just a support role; it is an immersion into Legal Operations and Liability Management. You will help evolve the efficiency of our claims department, gaining hands-on experience in how legal liability is assessed, documented, and resolved.

This role is an ideal foundation for students considering a career in Law, Risk Management, or Corporate Compliance.

Skills You Will Develop:

  • Legal Operations & Project Management: Lead process improvement projects and help build internal case-tracking databases from the ground up.
  • Liability Data Analytics: Master the management of financial loss data and learn to interpret complex claims reports and legal settlements.
  • Professional Advocacy & Communication: Collaborate directly with our Director of Claims and Senior Claims Associates, learning the nuances of professional correspondence within the legal/insurance cycle.
  • Technical Proficiency: Gain expert-level comfort with proprietary Claims Administration systems and industry-standard legal/insurance documentation workflows.

Who We Are Looking For

We prioritize analytical curiosity and the ability to think like a researcher. You might be a great fit if you have:

  • A Legal Mindset: You enjoy digging into the "why" behind a case and possess a high attention to detail.
  • Technical Foundations: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data organization is key), Outlook, and Word.
  • Growth Mindset: You are eager to learn the liability claims process, the anatomy of an insurance policy, and the nuances of environmental law/risk.
  • Major Flexibility: We are specifically looking for candidates in Pre-Law, Paralegal Studies, Business Law, or related fields.

Our Hiring Process

  1. Application Review: We review applications on a rolling basis.
  2. Initial Interview: A brief 20-minute conversation to discuss your interest in the legal/insurance field.
  3. Team Interview: A meeting with the Claims leadership team in Pearl River to see the environment firsthand.
  4. Offer: Our goal is to complete the process within 2–3 weeks of your first interview.
