Sales/Business Development Associate
C6 Capital is seeking a motivated and ambitious Business Development Associate to join our dynamic team in Midtown Manhattan. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain comprehensive experience in the private credit and special situations lending space while working with lower middle market companies.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Relationship Management
-Develop and maintain relationships with key industry professionals including investment bankers, brokers, accountants, attorneys, and other referral sources
-Build a robust network within the lower middle market lending ecosystem
-Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to expand deal flow opportunities
Origination & Deal Sourcing
-Conduct proactive outbound calling campaigns to identify and engage potential borrowers
-Source new lending opportunities through various channels and referral networks
-Maintain and update CRM system with prospect information and interaction history
-Collaborate with senior team members to develop origination strategies
Transaction Management
-Participate in the underwriting process for special situations lending transactions
-Conduct initial credit analysis and due diligence on potential borrowers Prepare transaction summaries and investment memoranda
-Support deal execution from initial contact through closing
Market Research & Analysis
-Monitor market trends and competitive landscape in the special situations lending space
-Research target industries and identify potential opportunities
-Assist in the preparation of marketing materials and pitch presentations
Minimum Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
Experience 0-2 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing.
Previous experience in financial services is preferred but not required
Skills & Interests:
-Strong interest in finance, capital markets, and private credit
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Proven ability to build relationships and network effectively
-Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
-CRM software experience is a plus

Compensation
