Position Overview
Security Team Members are responsible for maintaining a safe, orderly, and respectful environment throughout the campground during evening and overnight hours. This role focuses on enforcing campground rules, monitoring activity, responding to incidents, and supporting guests and staff during nighttime operations. Security Team Members help ensure a peaceful and enjoyable experience for all guests while representing Roundup Lake in a professional and respectful manner.
This is a seasonal position, with scheduled shifts typically running from 8:00 PM to 3:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays, and Sundays during holiday weekends only. Employment generally runs from mid-May through late October, depending on operational needs and calendar dates. As a seasonal role, employment will conclude at the end of the operating season.

Primary ResponsibilitiesPatrol & Monitoring
- Conduct regular patrols of the campground during assigned hours
- Monitor guest behavior and campground activity for safety and rule compliance
- Address noise complaints, curfew issues, and disturbances professionally
- Monitor restricted or closed areas after hours
Rule Enforcement & Guest Interaction
- Enforce campground rules and quiet hours consistently and respectfully
- Communicate clearly and calmly with guests regarding expectations and policies
- De-escalate situations when possible and request assistance when needed
- Serve as a visible presence to deter unsafe or disruptive behavior
Incident Response & Reporting
- Respond promptly to incidents, concerns, or guest complaints
- Document incidents accurately using required incident reporting procedures
- Communicate issues, warnings, and escalations to management
- Contact emergency services when necessary and assist responders on site
Gate & Access Support
- Monitor campground entry points during assigned shifts
- Verify access for late arrivals when applicable
- Assist with after-hours check-ins or gate-related issues as directed

Qualifications
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and firm in high-pressure situations
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Strong situational awareness and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow procedures and policies
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods during patrols
- Prior security, law enforcement, or customer service experience preferred but not required
