Camp Ho Mita Koda is the first and oldest Camp for kids with T1D, join us for our 97th season of changing lives!

We’ve found that the best counselors are leaders who know how to work very well in groups as well as on their own while enjoying learning from an experienced leadership staff as well as the campers they live with every day! Beyond teaching and leadership skills, we look for maturity, trustworthiness, dependability, flexibility, and a willingness to put campers before themselves. Our expectations and standards are high for experience and certifications, as well as behavior in and out of camp.

Counselors spend 10 days before campers arrive receiving intensive training and learning the ins and outs of Camp Ho Mita Koda policies, games, culture, and how best to care for your children. Plus, with a staff of over 100 for 65 campers, our camper to staff ratio ensures that every camper gets the care and attention they need.
