Scientist, LC-MS/MS
Primera Analytical Solutions Corp, founded in 2002, is a contract research organization (CRO) that provides analytical, bioanalytical, formulation development, and clinical trial services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and other life science industries. Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimize, and validate LC-MS methods for protein characterization, including intact mass, reduced, subunit, and peptide mapping.
- Perform enzymatic digestion and post-translational modification (PTM) analysis, such as glycosylation or phosphorylation, to assess product quality.
- Update supervisor on his/her work progress at scheduled intervals.
- Apply his/her scientific expertise for analytical methods/instruments troubleshooting, laboratory investigations, preparation of notebooks and technical reports, etc.
Qualifications:
- PhD degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or related field is required.
- Hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS for protein characterization, preferably in the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in Liquid Chromatography (LC), capillary electrophoresis, and data analysis software.
- Ability to work independently and achieve problem resolution with minimal supervision. Attentive to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Good computer skills and profound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
