Job Summary

Cable Dahmer Automotive Group is seeking a motivated Finance Assistant to support our Finance & Insurance (F&I) department in a fast-paced dealership environment. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone interested in building a career in automotive finance, dealership operations, or F&I management.

 

In this role, you’ll work closely with Finance Managers, Sales Managers, and Accounting to ensure vehicle deals are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with lender and dealership requirements. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to automotive financing, contracts, and dealership workflows while developing skills that can lead to future advancement within F&I.

 

Key Responsibilities

Assist Finance Managers with preparing, reviewing, and finalizing automotive finance and lease contracts

Ensure all deal paperwork is complete, accurate, and compliant with lender, state, and dealership requirements

Communicate with customers to collect required information and obtain signatures for financing and leasing

Submit funding packets to lenders and track funding status to ensure timely payment

Review contracts for accuracy, including vehicle information, pricing, payoffs, and lender terms

Maintain organized digital and physical deal jackets and records

Work closely with Sales and Accounting teams to resolve deal discrepancies or missing documentation

Verify title, registration, and payoff information related to vehicle transactions

Provide professional, customer-focused support when answering questions related to financing, contracts, or protection products

Handle sensitive customer and financial information with discretion and confidentiality

Assist with additional administrative or dealership support tasks as needed

 

Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous dealership, automotive, finance, accounting, or administrative experience preferred but not required

Strong interest in automotive finance, dealership operations, or a future career in F&I

Excellent attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a high-volume environment

Strong communication and customer service skills

Comfortable working with computers and learning dealership systems (DMS experience is a plus)

Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced sales environment
