Inventory Associate - Full Time

Borsheims is looking for a full-time Inventory Associate to join our team. At Borsheims, we take pride in providing our Signature Service to every customer, and you will play a vital role in helping us do that.

Our Inventory Associates are responsible for receiving, inspecting, and verifying all incoming and outgoing jewelry, watch, and diamond merchandise; processing inventory data to update and maintain an accurate inventory system; maintaining documentation. You will be asked to communicate with various team members about inventory questions and the status of special orders or returns. If you have prior inventory receiving and processing experience, enjoy problem-solving, and are detail-oriented, you may be the gem we’ve been searching for!

 

You Are:

  • Detail-Oriented & Organized. Diligent in receiving and processing inventory. Ensures accuracy, attention to detail, and organization with entering data and reviewing inventory balances, costs, and comparing the packing slips to invoices of new merchandise as well as merchandise that needs to be returned to vendors.
  • Analytical. Data-driven to analyze reports to ensure inventory cycle counts are correct, assists with inventory variances, and more.
  • Problem-solver. Resolves inventory variances promptly and is determined to find a positive solution for inventory issues and inquiries.
  • Effective Communicator. Communicates with various team members about inventory questions and status of orders via email, over the phone, and in person.
  • Service-Minded. Prompt in processing new inventory and assisting team members with inventory requests. You know exactly what to do to help our frontline employees and Borsheims shine.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ability to work assigned schedule on a regular basis.
  • Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to see well enough to read small print and read a computer screen and printout.
  • Ability to hear and speak well enough to converse with others in person, via telephone and paging system.
  • Ability to move about the store from department to department, get behind narrow counter areas, bend down or reach up into drawers/shelves, and to climb a ladder to retrieve files from shelves.
  • Dexterity to write in small print, operate a 10-key, operate a computer keyboard, and operate office equipment.
  • Stamina to sit for over eight hours.
  • Ability to lift and carry approximately 20 lbs.
