Lab Tech I
Assist and support the routine and non-routine day to day operations within the Laboratory. This position will perform sample intake, retention room upkeep, lab preparation, and support the testing within the laboratory and ensure that all responsibilities are conducted based on quality and safety procedures. Must be comfortable working with cannabis/hemp products within a chemical/biological laboratory environment.
Lab Tech I Responsibilities:
- Provide general support to laboratory staff, ensuring efficient laboratory operations.
- Assist with the preparation of samples for analysis.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies and consumables.
- Assist in the documentation of laboratory procedures and data entry.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of laboratory safety protocols.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of laboratory experiments and tests.
- Ensure proper disposal of laboratory waste in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Participate in training sessions and stay updated on laboratory best practices and procedures.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Basic understanding of laboratory operations and safety protocols.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team, self-motivate, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, and follow instructions.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and maintenance procedures.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- 0-2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Every weekend
- Morning shift
